Jonathan is currently on faculty at Bennett College. In a former life, he ran a restaurant in the Hamptons and was an event planner in Manhattan.
Miriam Davie is proud to be a founding member of Paper Lantern. Local credits include Annie, Beauty and the Beast, The Shadow Box, Over the River and Through the Woods, Jekyll and Hyde, and Cats with Twin City Stage and Amahl and the Night Visitors with Piedmont Opera.
Outside of theatre, Miriam is a Senior Chemical Engineer with TE Connectivity in Winston-Salem and has ten cats, two dogs and one patient husband.
Star Lee has appeared locally in The Woman in Black, Seussical and The Shadow Box at Twin City Stage and in Paper Lantern’s production of Kimberly Akimbo. In addition to her acting credits, Star produced The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later for Paper Lantern, as well as the independent film Ordinary Wilderness.
Star holds a Master of Business Administration, and when she’s not on stage or on set, she directs digital marketing for Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and sits on the Education Committee for the Forsyth Humane Society.
Miranda Lowder has been in many productions throughout the Triad. Her favorite roles include Sister James in Doubt (CTG), Suzy in Wait Until Dark (CTG), and Meg in Leading Ladies (Twin City Stage). Miranda originated the role of Sweetie Treat in Witch Way is Witch (PLTC). She is a teacher for Yadkin County Schools, and has created the only theater program for elementary students in the county.
Amy da Luz is a founding member of Paper Lantern Theatre Company where she she serves as the Company’s Artistic Director. Her roles in Company productions include Sylvia in End Days and Arlene in Next Fall. She directed Kimberly Akimbo. Other stage acting credits include roles at Triad Stage, NC Shakespeare Festival, and The Cardinal Group at Urban Stages in NY. Amy has also appeared in various film and TV roles over the years and has donned a lab coat more than once for her share of industrials! Amy is a proud member of AEA and SAG.
Amy teaches drama to 4th through 9th graders at Summit School in Winston Salem, NC.
Amy received her MFA in Acting from University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her BA in Business Administration from University of San Diego.
Emily has been a proud company member with Paper Lantern since 2012. Regional credits include Triad Stage, North Carolina Shakespeare Festival, Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte, and Paper Lantern Theatre Company, as well as a national tour with TheatreWorks USA. Emily is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association and serves on the Board of Directors for Paper Lantern. She lives in Winston-Salem.
Beth Ritson is a Founding Member of Paper Lantern Theatre. She has performed several times at Triad Stage and performed in PLT’s inaugural production of Dead Man’s Cell Phone. She currently works at Bennett College in the Theatre Department and holds a BFA and MFA in acting.
Heidi is currently a freelance theatrical artist, and although she has degrees in acting and directing, she’s finding that coaching and inspiring students is what currently fuels her theatrical passion.
She coaches young students acting during UNCSA’s Drama summer session, assists with the Shakespeare Lives! summer program and works closely with the Arts Based School in Winston-Salem directing 3rd – 6th Grade. Heidi debuted with Paper Lantern as Pattie in Kimberly Akimbo.mtt
